Jiu Jitsu Ranking System

Our academy follows the ranking guidelines of the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation, also referred to as the IBJJF. These guidelines are the international standard for youth and adult divisions. The progress of the individual is based upon the efficiency of the individual. Jiu Jitsu ranks are earned through extensive training which is a result of the understanding of the techniques, as well as individual demonstration of these techniques.

Progress is earned, never given. Progress in Jiu Jitsu takes time. If an individual determines to set out to succeed in Jiu Jitsu, they must realize the importance of consistent training. Once they determine to train with the proper mindset, progress will come. An individual must put in the hard work, stay disciplined, respect their training partners, and always stay humble. Progress will come.

Here is a chart to see the projected progress for BJJ students.
